Isaac Ford started playing string bass at the age of 11 after a short period of guitar lessons. Isaac has auditioned into many honor groups over the years including the 2016 All State Symphony, the 2017 and 2019 All Northwest Orchestra, and the 2018 All State Jazz Choir rhythm section. Isaac has also competed in the WMEA Solo and Ensemble festival and in 2018 won the solo bass category at state and got second in 2019. Recently, Isaac Ford was a featured soloist with the Southwest Washington Symphony after winning an audition playing the Concerto No. 2 for string bass. Isaac is currently continuing to take private lessons with Barry Lieberman at the University of Washington while participating in many ensembles and worship teams. In the community, Isaac plays bass guitar at several of his local churches as a strong Christian. He is always working to build a stronger relationship with God and is constantly reminding himself to trust God’s plan over his own. One of Isaac’s favorite pieces of scripture is “Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs” (Psalm 150:4, King James). Isaac Ford is currently enrolled in the University of Washington in Seattle as a double major in music performance and education.
