DESCRIPTION:  The Contemporary Praise and Worship Director is to provide a non-personal service to support the 319th Air Base Wing Chapel. Duties will include but not be limited to: recruiting volunteer musicians/vocalists, ensuring volunteers complete a background check if working with youth under 18 years old, conducting musical training, and rehearsing with a Band and Praise Team comprised of volunteer musicians/vocalists for the purpose of leading a congregation in current contemporary praise and worship songs.
Place of Performance: Services will be located at Prairie Rose Chapel on Grand Forks Air Force Base (345 Tuskegee Airmen Blvd, Grand Forks AFB, ND 58204).

JOB TITLE:  CHAPEL MASTER MUSICIAN 

LOCATION:  USAG – Rhineland – Pfalz, Germany

DATES: 5/1/2019 – 4/30/2020

DESCRIPTION:  The Master Musician shall recruit, train, rehearse and schedule all of musicians who will be performing in the multiple chapel services throughout the USAG-RP.  This includes rehearsals and worship in Kaiserlaten and Baumholder, Germany.  The Contractor will ensure that all musicians: 1) shall capably play appropriate preludes, interludes, offertories and postludes in support of worship services and other special events; 2) provide the music and lead congregational singing; 3) perform special selections as identified by the Chaplain in charge of the service; 4) rehearse planned selections with choirs, soloists, groups or ensembles that require accompaniment and will be performing at future scheduled events. To do so, the contractor must coordinate with each of the Chaplains in charge of each service to ensure that the music, style and particular selections fit with the Chaplains intent to provide worship for the congregation.

Musician must meet the following qualifications:
a. Demonstrated ability to satisfactorily play the identified instrument(s) (such as piano and/or guitar) available to the congregation. Certificate and/or a degree in Music Theory, Music Performance or Band/Orchestra Music Instruction from an accredited college or university or a Music School is preferred. A copy or copies of such certifications must be provided at the time the quotation is submitted.
b. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English for coordination with the Pastor and/or his/her designated Worship Leader and for satisfactory completion of the administrative tasks required of a contractor. Additionally, the Contractor shall possess the ability to present information orally and in written format (i.e., marketing) in English. Effective interaction with various individuals is imperative. Ability to speak English clearly and with excellent comprehension is essential. If offeror uses English as a second language, he/she must also provide a copy of an International Certification for English Language Proficiency. German or Spanish language skills are a plus.

JOB TITLE:  PROTESTANT PIANIST (CLOSED)

Camp Walker, South Korea

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The contractor shall provide all personnel and transportation for appropriate musical accompaniment for the weekly Protestant worship services, at Soldiers Memorial Chapel, Camp Carroll. In addition, the contractor shall provide appropriate musical accompaniment for special/seasonal events. Special events include, but are not limited to memorial or funeral services, revivals, or special/seasonal services and sacramental events (not weddings). The schedule for special events and rehearsals shall be set by the Senior Chaplain. Crossover support and coverage to other chapels may be utilized in the execution of this contract as directed by the Chaplaincy, Resource Manager, or the USA Garrison Daegu Chaplain Office.
1.1. Services.
1.1.1. Contractor shall provide musical accompaniment services: The special seasonal services and rehearsals are dependent upon the worship calendar, and/or the schedule established by the Senior Chaplain for this service. If no service is conducted, or no rehearsals held, the contractor cannot charge for those items. Services held at other outdoor venues on regular worship Sundays are not special services or events and the contractor shall provide services at that location.
1.1.2. Contractor shall:
 Provide piano accompaniment for Weekly Sunday Worship Services. o 52 Units (1 Unit equals app. 1 hours)
 Provide piano accompaniment for Weekly Choir Rehearsals. o 55 Units (1 Unit equals app. 1 hours)
 Provide piano accompaniment for Special/Seasonal Services or Events. o 3 Units (1 Unit equals app. 1 hours)
1.1.3. Contractor shall provide a qualified replacement during times of illness, leave or vacation, or other absences. In any circumstances the temporary replacement cannot exceed three consecutive weeks, without the express approval of the Chaplaincy Resource Manager, or the Garrison Chaplain.
1.2. Business Relations. Contractor shall partner with the Government to resolve all issues and conflicts in a timely and expeditious manner, first with the Senior Chaplain, then the Contractor Officer Representative, then the Contracting Officer.
2. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY (PRS). The service requirements are summarized into performance objectives that relate directly to mission essential items. The performance threshold briefly describes the minimum acceptable levels of service required for each requirement. These thresholds are critical to mission success.

JOB TITLE:  PROTESTANT WORSHIP LEADER/MUSIC COORDINATOR

Minimum professional qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in music, applied voice, or special education in this field in a recognized institution with a concentration in sacred music preferred.  Or a minimum experience of two years leading a worship team, directing a choir in a church setting and/or equivalent experience, using the full range of modern Christian music and traditional liturgical music appropriate for work in a military chapel setting.  Candidates will provide a resume with the application.

Qualifications include the ability to work harmoniously with volunteer worship team members, choir members, adults as well as youth and other chapel personnel.  Must be willing to lead worship, direct choirs, and music with approval of the Chaplain.
