Congratulations! Welcome to Sound Praise artist’s roster.

Before we can get started scheduling you for opportunities, we will need to have some basic information, so we may prepare your media kit, advertisements, web page on this site, and requests for booking.  This is a lot of work “up front”, but it is necessary to market your skills effectively.

First is our checklist of items we need from you right away.  Next is an ongoing list of items we will need as soon as you can get them to us.

This all must be in place before we can send offers to you, so the sooner the better!    These items will be needed for your media kit, which is crucial to all applications for gigs:

  1. Good Professional photos (at least one headshot, plus photos with your instrument or band). No selfies, please! See example below.
  2. One-paragraph bio (include a brief musical history, and your testimony. See example below
  3. Music samples:  links to your Christian youtube/vimeo videos (downloadable), links to your Christian sound recordings (downloadable), mp3s.  No secular, pop or rock songs are acceptable for your EPK at Sound Praise.

Soon after, we will need:

  1. A more detailed bio (three to five paragraphs),
  2. Stage plot for pared-down performance, separate stage plot for full band performance (see example, below)
  3. Detailed list of stage gear (see example, below)
  4. List of original songs (if you are a songwriter) and
  5. List of cover songs (all worship songs, hymns, other Christian songs – no secular covers, please)
  6. Testimonials from current fans or friends
  7. Press releases or articles written about you (if you have them)
  8. Personal Mission Statement
  9. Your current performance/worship schedule, (if you have one)

 Examples of Bio:

After more than a decade of playing and teaching in Los Angeles, Eric recently relocated back home to Seattle.  Since graduating from USC, Eric has pursued professional jazz and music education with equal passion.  While in Southern California Eric directed the award-winning combos at  Downey High School, and was on faculty with Children’s Music Workshop.  Eric played saxophone in clubs, restaurants, and at weddings up and down the West Coast.  Eric was the tenor saxophonist in James Gang, one of the most in-demand private event bands in the country.
‘I was a member at City Light Church in Los Angeles from 2007 till we moved to Seattle in 2018.  In those years I have played sax for the worship team, and eventually in 2012 I took over the position of music director.  This move, which I resisted at the time, reintroduced me to my love of singing, and showed me a powerful new way for me to serve my church.  Since then I haven’t looked back, and I know I will be leading worship for the rest of my life!  In April 2017, we brought on a new leader, and I happily took a step back to the assistant worship leader role.’
